There are still places left on the jewellery craft workshops. Marc Weide will be returning to Wokingham Library on Saturday March 19 at 11am. Marc Weide (violin) and Jim Dytham (double bass) are part of the Latin-influenced jazz band El Camino. As a duo, Jim and Marc play a quirky mix of jazzy, Latin, classical and pop tunes. On this occasion, they will play a fun programme of songs by Ellington, Brahms, Piazzolla and many others, and illustrate different bowing and plucking techniques in the process. This is a free event and there is no need to book.
Local and family history also feature in this month’s library programme. The Twyford and Ruscombe Local History Society will be showing a DVD entitled ‘A Walk through Ruscombe’ followed by a discussion at Twyford Library on Tuesday March 22 at 2pm. There is £1 charge, and people wishing to attend should contact Twyford Library on (0118) 934 0800.
