CELEBRATING 25 YEARS AT WOODLEY LIBRARY

Woodley Library will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary in May and to commemorate this occasion Wokingham Borough Council would like to invite all children in the borough to contribute to its birthday banner.

The birthday banner will be made up of squares which the library hope will be created and designed by the children from schools, pre-schools and nurseries throughout Woodley.

The theme for the birthday banner is library and celebrations and a design template can be picked up for free from Woodley Library, Headley Road, Woodley, RG5 4JA. The square will be matched together to make the birthday banner which will be displayed in the window of Woodley Library throughout May.

Woodley area supervisor Joanne Briggs said: “We want the whole community to celebrate with us, so why not help create this banner which will play an integral part of the celebrations!”

All entries must be received at Woodley Library by April 8, 2011.
